[full disclosure: hyperbole...no carnage] That’s not rubber you smell.

Kinda curious as to how that truck is treated for the torque converter to give up the ghost that easily on a trail that light.

The 1st gen Ridgeline has aged well. For some strange reason I kind of want one.

I want all the torque converters to die.

Yup, minimal wheel spin is gonna cook my 170k mile tranny that I’ve been doing this with since I bought the truck.
According to the comments, 170k miles of the same thing.

The person talking sounds really similar to the voice from the girl crying in a voicemail set to the video of cars racing.

Eh..looks like fair game for an off-roader.

Definitely demonstrates that he has a fundamental misunderstanding of torque converter operation. It’s the tires not slipping that’s going to cook a tranny

Seems like the guy also has a massive chip on his shoulder after reading his responses to people.

I don’t blame him, youtube be youtube and even though his truck is clearly not meant for this kind of duty and he should probably know that going in...Im still glad he did it. I mean i went looking for this because I’m that sicko that likes seeing inappropriate vehicles being used beyond their design. to the point were I genuinely want to buy a gen 1 rav4 and make it into a kinda of overland vehicle.

This is true, my cousin used to take his bike to track day’s in his Rav4. Pretty much folded the front passenger seat all the way forward and rolled it in the back. Was hysterical to see.

Ray Magliozzi said essentially that, why abuse it - it’s so pretty! And yeah - if you want to do nonsense like that get a Rangie or a Jeep (that will break).

It did pretty well for a “not a real truck” truck.

and that kids is why locking diff is important. Used to offroad where at some point some asshat shows up with awd crossover and gets buried in soft sand.
The Ridge doesn’t need a lower gear, because it has electronically controlled 4 wheel drive
I’m out.
